Merwede Springs sponsors URE student team

The COVID-19 outbreak has affected everyone and Formula Student is no exception. After a period of uncertainty for everyone, the competition will start again in an adapted form. For the 2020-2021 season, Merwede Springs will again contribute in the form of sponsorship with regard to the necessary springs for the URE15.

Last year, the University of Eindhoven built the URE14 with the nickname ‘The Transformer’. The URE14 was the first convertible built by the URE team. This car can be driven manually by a driver, but can also race autonomously. Currently, URE15 production is in full swing, the second iteration of this concept.

University Racing Eindhoven stands for technological innovation, teamwork and a passion for engineering. By competing in the Formula Student competition, the world’s largest engineering design competition, they try to push themselves and the cars to new limits! Using a combination of the engineering skills of all members and help from the dear partners, they are able to build a high-tech revolutionary Formula-style electric (and autonomous) Formula-style racecar every year. During the Formula Student events, all over the world, the results of their hard work will put to the test. The drive for being the very best comes from a passion for engineering deep within each of their team members, resulting in something epic, year after year. However, the events are not just about winning, they are also a perfect place to share information with other teams and technological companies to develop new ideas.

Overall, URE is a great place to gain experience in designing, manufacturing and tuning the race cars of the future and being a team player in an environment of highly motivated engineering students.

Merwede Springs wishes URE15 the best of luck in the coming season.
